Alloy C276 Fasteners

Alloy C276 is an extremely versatile material widely used in severe environments.

It demonstrates corrosion resistance to chloride-containing media, organic acids, oxidizing media, reducing acids, seawater & brine, and sulfuric flue gases.

It replaced Alloy C (UNS N10002), with slightly higher chromium and molybdenum content, making it stronger in corrosion resistance.

Due to its high nickel, molybdenum, and tungsten content, it is more expensive than austenitic stainless steels but remains the most popular 'Super Alloy'.
